Jerusalem - The purpose of large-scale bombardment of Israel in the Gaza Strip is to overthrow the regime there, Hamas, said the Deputy PM of Israel Haim Ramon, on Monday, in comments broadcast television. "The goal this operation is to defeat Hamas," said Ramon, who has long urged Israel unleash attacks land to end the power of Islamic groups in the Gaza Strip.
